I'm a bit of a stationery junkie/hoarder, and a few months ago I was perusing the John Lewis website when these gorgeous notebooks appeared in my suggested items. Oh internet, you know me better than anyone... I'm loving the whole gold/pink vibe going on at the moment - the two compliment each other perfectly. The pretty pink Mean Girls pencils were actually from Lily Rose Co. and I bought them ages ago for the novelty as I don't tend to write in pencil. It makes me feel like I'm back in primary school to be honest but they were too cute not to buy.

Confession time: I haven't previously owned anything from Kate Spade. Yes, the blogger's favourite has not managed to lure me in enough before. I've lusted after a few of the handbags, purses and phone covers but never decided to take the plunge. Stationery, however, I get through like you wouldn't believe. I love to write bullet-pointed lists and scribble quick notes. Planning and being organised is definitely one of my strong points. I feel like such a grown up when I have my daily goals and plans written down on lovely patterned paper, and it weirdly gives me the motivation to actually get the stuff done. And I need all the motivation I can get. You should see me at work too, I'm the worst person when it comes to leaving notes, especially the passive-aggressive kind...

Accented with gold foil for an elegant finish, this spacious lined notebook is perfect for making notes and, most importantly, planning blog posts. I love the style of it - you know I love stripes of any kind - and there's loads of room for writing down all the details you desire. The semi-concealed spiral spine is a nice touch as well.

I couldn't buy the spinal notebook without the accompanying notepad. I'm a sucker for sets. I often write my daily to-do lists and weekly shopping lists down in this one. The notepad contains 125 sheets so you're sure to get a lot written down. I've had this for a couple of months, use it regularly, and there's still plenty of pages left to scrawl on so it's a winner.

This notepad definitely belongs next to the telephone, even though we have a modern-day answering machine system built in... I just love the whole vintage look of it. It looks like it belongs in the days of Mad Men and has plenty of space to write down everything you need to. And with 125 sheets of pretty paper it's going to last forever, although I often pepper these about the house and stick them to the fridge with magnets. They're so good for quick little messages and reminders; I would love a sticky-back version though.

    1. You should do it, Aisling - treat yo'self! Xx

  7. Firstly Katie, these are bloody beaut. Secondly, I had no idea that John Lewis stocked Kate Spade and fear that my bank account is now in serious danger (already browsed and made a mental wishlist). I adore the brand and have lusted over pieces by them for so long, and now I have a sneaky suspicion that a few items will be making their way into my possession in the near future! Thanks for the tip off!
