It's been ages since I went on a real Lush splurge and, my god, I feel like I deserve it. Believe me, two huge shoe boxes of gifted bath bombs and bubble bars take a good while for me to get through, especially when I much prefer a shower during the warmer months. But now that Autumn is absolutely positively here I just know I'll be craving a nice hot bubble bath most evenings and I have been really tempted by a whole host of new products.

I bought a load of things - some brand new, some repurchases (So White!) - and as you can probably see from the second photograph, I just had to get my hands on some Karma... But that's for another day. Today I wanted to talk to you guys about a couple of the goodies I got from this year's Halloween collection. I have to admit it, I come round to the idea of Halloween more and more each year. I just wish I had the skills to carve an epic pumpkin!

This is not the kind of thing I would usually go for, scent-wise, but the ghoulish green colour grabbed my attention straight off the bat (lol geddit?) It's available in four different sizes: 100g, 250g, 500g and 1kg if you really fancy it. I opted for the 250g bottle and it's lasted very well so far. The amount of bubbles you can get out of this shower gel is actually quite impressive, and I love having a Lush product I can use in either the bath or the shower. The scent is really inviting - it's a lovely mix of herbal delights and a hint of sweetness, with patchouli and peppercorn being the main notes and fair trade vanilla joining in soon after. Organic wheatgerm oil provides a nourishing dose of Vitamin E, which provides your skin with a natural antioxidant that protects and repairs. This stuff is pretty much perfect for Hallow's Eve, especially if you're feeling the witch vibe, the green lathers and lasts!

Price - £4.95/100g, £9.75/250g, £16.50/500g, £27.95/1kg
Verdict - 4 out of 5 spooky ghouls

The shower gel counterpart, I regard the Lord of Misrule as the mothership of Halloween bath bombs. The scent is pretty much the same as you'd expect, but the fizziness reveals more than that pigmented green exorcist puke coloured outer shell. As it's dropped into a hot bath, the vibrant green makes way for a pretty pink middle and turns your water into the most delightful witches brew with popping candy-like crystals crackling away too. And is it weird to say that the water felt almost silky? It made my bathing experience all the more relaxing.

Price - £3.95 per bomb
Verdict - 4.5 out of 5 spooky ghouls

Last but certainly not least is the Halloween bubble bar of dreams. Everything is pumpkin related at this time of year, so why not have a pumpkin bubble bath? If you're looking for warmth during the cold October nights then look no further than this vibrant orange and gold beauty. Concocted using juniperberry, lime and grapefruit oils, this bubble bar has a bright and zesty aroma. The only gripe I have with this one is that it's a little tricky to crumble into the bath and, once you do, may leave fake tan hands in their wake! There are so many sparkly bubbles though! I can get two uses out of this if I want a really bubbly bath, and around four if I'm combining it with other products as well. Just remember to wash out your bath afterwards - mine looked like a family of fairies exploded in the tub with all the gold glitter!

Price - £3.65 per bar
Verdict - 4.5 out of 5 spooky ghouls
