LITTLE VICTORIES

Sometimes you just need to sit back and appreciate all the good things in life, no matter how small the feat. I've learned that quite recently.

Here are a couple of things that I would class under the cheerful umbrella that are little victories:

- Using up a well-loved product
- Waking up and realising you still have time to sleep
- Putting freshly cleaned bedding back on the bed
- Understanding a complicated subject
- Having a really good day at work
- Feeling confident in your own skin
- Working out
- Turning on the TV just as your favourite show is starting
- Switching to an even number on the volume dial
- Getting a difficult question correct on a quiz show
- Making an amazing cup of tea
- Filling up the petrol in your car exactly to the pound
- Finding money in your coat pocket
- Enjoying a lazy day
- Wearing an item of clothing you forgot about
- Painting your nails without making a mess
- Taking a really pretty photograph that you're proud of
- Memorising the lyrics of an entire song and singing it word-for-word
- Writing something down in perfect handwriting
- Filling in your eyebrows in a lovely shape
- Drawing (almost) identical cat eye flicks
- Nabbing the last product in stock
- Having a great hair day
- Finishing a good book
- Finding a bargain
- Learning something new
- Savouring every last bite of a delicious meal

Do you have any little victories to add to the list?

  1. Agree 100% with this list especially waking up only to discover you don't have to get up yet, it's much better than waking up to the alarm!

    1. I know! It's always a better night's sleep when you don't have to worry about getting up the next day - 6am wakeup calls on Saturdays are the absolute worst, believe me! Xx

  2. So many of these have happened to me this week which makes it so great! There isn't anything better though than when you have that 'light bulb' moment on a subject!

    1. That's fab! I count myself lucky if any of these things happen to me on a weekly basis. I'm just getting back into working out again, and it really does feel like a victory every time I get through a shred session! Xx

  10. Love, love, LOVE posts like these, I can add so much to this list, I have a series on my blog on "The Simple Pleasures" in life, and it's basically just like this. Sleeping in after a hectic week is amazing, taking your shoes off after a long day, can't beat that feeling, removing your bra at the end of the night -bliss! The list is endless!
