Snow Day!

Today has been eventful to say the least! I had a handful of plans that were unfortunately cancelled due to the heavy snow we've had down here on the South coast. At least it gave me an opportunity to practise some photography! As you would expect it was freezing outside, and it had been constantly snowing from the early hours of this morning until about 3 o'clock this afternoon. When my mum suggested we take our Cairn terrier, Tegan, out for a long walk in the snow I didn't hesitate to pull on my parka and grab my camera. My dog is nearly 3 years old and has never experienced weather like this before because it never seems to settle here (until today!) so she was going slightly crazy; and she has really short legs so she was jumping around in the deep snow which was so funny to watch. We met up with my mum's friend and her English pointer Izzie, who was more than happy to jump about with Tegan! She's a bit of a weirdo, getting freaked out by a pre-made snowman in one of the fields we walked through, and refused to walk past it until Tegan did...

I just thought I'd share a couple of photographs that I took today while out and about. Oh, and if you're from the Southern region of England look out for one of my photographs on BBC South Today - it may not get picked but I'm sure you'll recognise it from this blog if it does get shown!

Did it snow where you are? If so, how did you spend the day?

    1. Awh thank you! It was tricky trying to get them to stay still because they were so hyper in the snow!
