OPI Lacquer: Skyfall

OPI Nail Lacquer in Skyfall - £8.80

For a while now, OPI has been my go-to nail polish. It dries quickly, is incredibly pigmented so gives a gorgeous colour, and lasts for ages. Their top coat is absolutely essential for me in order to keep the polish from chipping days after application. Admittedly the products are more expensive than your Barry M's and your Rimmel London's but I definitely think it's worth it in the long run, especially if you're wanting to change your nail colour every few days! The polish itself is thick and the brush applicator makes it easy to cover the nail quickly.

I'll be perfectly honest and say that I'm not a huge fan of the James Bond franchise but OPI's Skyfall collection has some truly lovely colours which are aptly named after the different films to mark the 50th anniversary of James Bond. I really love the more glittery colours (Goldeneye and On Her Majesty's Secret Service) and of course Skyfall which you may remember from my birthday wishlist.

Skyfall is described as a deep maroon creme and is the namesake shade of the collection. When it's applied I would describe it as more of a deep burgundy - a colour that I had yet to have in my own collection. This shade would look great with all skintones and is a staple winter colour! The polish is thick as you would expect with OPI polishes and becomes opaque with just 2 coats. I, myself, applied 3 coats and then a top coat. You can get this polish on the Beauty Bay website in the sale for £8.80, the usual price is £11.00 so get in there and snap up the deal!

What do you guys think of the OPI Skyfall collection? Or just OPI in general? What are your favourite shades?
